An old fave… matte black glaze on a slightly grogged clay. Oooof. Yes!

When these pieces leave the visual noise of the studio and land for their intended use, they take on a whole new life.

Summer feels like it’s here. The door to the studio is wide open and I’m happy about that.

I’ve been putting the finishing touches to these little high footed bowls for @gorserestaurant by sanding the bottom edge to make them silk

Some batches of plates work others don’t. These, I LOVE. What a relief when I opened the kiln. They have a cloud like quality to the glaze pattern (unintentional, my favourite way)
